"MUM AND DAD"

I don’t see the point in painting a portrait; you might as well take a photograph. But to paint someone’s personality, what’s beneath the surface, is much more meaningful. So, I’ll paint someone as a big smiley giraffe, or a horse with its mane blowing in the wind to show the different sides of their personality.

There are times when the heart is so brilliantly red it almost glows on the wall, or is so heavy with purpose it can’t be moved by one person, or is so light it floats.  Love comes in many forms throughout a lifetime.

I’m trying to use color to get back to that place where I can draw with feeling and emotion, a place where it is impossible to make mistakes.
